Since 1931, the Cairns Art Society has brought artists and the community together through creativity, connection and a shared love of art. As the region’s oldest art society, we are proud to have helped shape Cairns into the vibrant creative hub it is today.
We celebrate the rich diversity of Tropical North Queensland, showcasing work from artists of all backgrounds and creating opportunities for creative talent to be discovered, developed and celebrated.
Our members include professional artists, art teachers, students and people taking their first creative steps. For those new to Cairns, the Society offers a welcoming way to meet like-minded people and become part of the local arts community.
We warmly invite artists of every style and experience level to join us, share their creativity and help strengthen our support for local artists and the wider Cairns community.
